Commercial Conversion​
Acting as Principle Contractor, Bamfords undertook full conversion works of an existing, three-storey, listed building in the heart of a bustling market town. With a central location, meaning no opportunity for on-site parking or compound, careful consideration was given to coordination of the works, deliveries and installation of substantial structural steelworks to the third floor level, without removal of the existing roof coverings.
The conversion works took the property from use as existing dilapidated flats, to 11 high-end rooms, each with en-suite, and conversion of the existing loft space.
Description of Works
- Careful planning & logistics of works due to central location and limited site footprint
- Extensive structural alterations, including removal of existing trusses, cranked and spliced steelwork, to enable conversion of the loft space, without the need for removal of roof coverings.
