Comprising of two ancient Tithe Barns, located in a Dorset village Bamfords have been appointed to work alongside notable architects to carry out the complete renovation, full re-model, high level fit-out and landscaping works.

While the design is sympathetic to the original 1800’s character of the barn, the works cleverly incorporate modern building techniques to provide a comfortable, energy efficient home for the clients.

Description Of Works:

  • Full & complete strip out including all existing floors, wall finishes and the complete roof structure.
  • Structural works & repair
  • Traditional lime pointing
  • Retention of original character features including ‘witches’ marks’ and stone carvings dating to 1861.
  • Complete internal lime parge coats & natural wood fibre insulations
  • Natural lime plaster finishes and lime wash
  • Bespoke Joinery installations
  • Two Daikin air source heat pumps to provide both hot water and wet underfloor heating to both the ground floor and first floor.
  • Bespoke Accoya & Oak windows, doors & shutters
  • Bespoke curved timber and metal stairscases
  • Natural stone & timber finishes
  • Full external hard & soft landscaping
